The American magazine Wine Spectator recently recognized Don Melchor 2017 with 95 points. The vintage–corresponding to number 31 of this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon– is a great vintage for Don Melchor, highlighting the extraordinary elegance and balance achieved in the wine. Composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc. This new score adds to the historic achievements of Don Melchor in Wine Spectator, where he has been distinguished nine times among the 100 Best Wines of the World -and three times within the 10 best-, corroborating his position among the greatest exponents of Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile and the world. “Smooth, complex and elegant, with fine tannins that support the flavors of cherry, red plum and currant. Notes of cedar and forest floor are observed on the mid-palate, with a long finish of cocoa and pastry chocolate, marked by hints of smoked applewood and white pepper.
