Marques de Casa Concha Heritage

A tribute to the history
of Concha y Toro and its traditions in wine

The influence of the Andes Mountains and the composition of its soils makes D.O. Puente Alto a place with tremendous potential for producing high-quality wines.”

The Marques de Casa Concha Heritage is a Bordeaux blend that arose as a means of faithfully expressing the terroir where all of Concha y Toro’s wine tradition and heritage began and that has also been a part of the history of Chilean wine that we all know today.

Its grapes—Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot—come from a meticulous selection in the celebrated El Mariscal and Don Melchor Vineyards, both located in the renowned Puente Alto denomination of origin in the Maipo Valley. Each of the varieties contributes a specific characteristic to the final blend and its percentage will vary from year to year with the objective of producing a wine that faithfully expresses this terroir.

Terroir

The Puente Alto terroir is located approximately 650 metres above sea level at the foot of the Andes Mountains on the northern bank of the Maipo River.

It is in one of the coldest zones within the Alto Maipo Valley and is marked by a semi-arid Mediterranean  climate with an average annual temperature of 14.4ºC and an average of 335 mm rainfall per year.
